Want to try something unique for your group? At the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center, we specialize in food and wine themed group events that entertain and instruct. Whether your group is ten or two hundred, they can enjoy a memorable “hands on” experience that will have everyone smiling as they learn. Corporate & Group Events include the following areas:
Food Activities:
- Culinary Competition - Participants are called upon to work together to promote leadership and involvement. Two recipes will be presented to judges for evaluation and scoring.
- Iron Chef - In this exciting hands-on team building class, participants are challenged to create Culinary masterpieces!
- Hands On Pizza Making – From dough shaping to topping, participants are tasked with creating pizza pies that they will eat at the conclusion of the event!

Wine Activities:
- Behind The Scenes Winery Tour - This trip will take you way beyond the typical winery tasting room experience. You’ll tour one of two local wineries from the vineyards to the cellars, learning the entire winemaking process from growing the grapes to blending the wines.
- Blend Your Own Wine – Your group will learn how to make their own custom wine!
- Crash Course in Wine - Groups are asked to come up with a “wine fact”. Our Sommelier will then dissect this information, informing participants of the details behind their factoids. Participants will walk away with a broader understanding of what they thought they already knew as well as a memorable tasting experience.
- Regional Wine Tasting – Explore the diversity of varietals and winemaking styles of various viticultural areas in this animated presentation.
- 5 Easy Steps to Really Enjoying Wine - Our Sommelier will help guests debunk the wine snob mystique and get to the heart and soul of enjoying wine.
- Find the $100 Wine - Guests will learn about how we really perceive wine through a series of practical exercises and description led by our sommelier.

Food & Wine Activities:
- Cooking Demonstrations - Explore the world of cooking with our Chef, who will lead them through a three course meal.
- Hands On Cooking - In this exciting hands-on class, participants are called upon to prepare a three course meal. First our Chef will demonstrate a course, then participants will execute each course on their own.
- International Passport - Take a tour of the wine world by visiting international stations within our facility. Each station will feature a unique wine from various national origins with paired finger foods to accentuate the flavors of the wines.
- Wine & Cheese Pairing - Taste and compare a variety of cheeses and wines and learn how they complement each other.
- Wine & Chocolate Pairing - Learn about the origins of various chocolates and the production techniques used to produce the final, delicious edible product. We will then proceed to sample a variety of fine chocolates with wines and ports specially selected to enhance their flavors.
- Wine & Culinary Olympics - Imagine an exciting, high energy game show based entirely on food and wine! Our Wine & Culinary Olympics event is guaranteed to have your group enthused and engaged.

- Grape Stomp – Take off your shoes and get in the vat. A great team building experience.
- Art of Distillation – In this anecdote filled presentation, you’ll learn the basics of the distilling process and how it is used to produce vodka, brandy, whiskey, and other spirits.
- Urban Winery Tour - Experience a virtual winery tour in the heart of downtown San Diego! Participants will enjoy a complete and detailed explanation of the entire winemaking process.
